Somebody here is tracking Chalets...not sure if this one is accounted for?

Finally remembered to post these. Both owned by the same guy
Finally remembered to post these. Both owned by the same guy. ... He told me about 2 more, but I haven't been able to chase them down.
Indebted to you for the favor of relaying these two to me, I don't have either one of them in my mega-spreadsheet that I can readily see. Sometimes it's hard to pin old photos of vehicles in better condition to their present state. Any additinal photos of the back and passenger side and interior of the #0475 one will be appreciated. Is your friend able to share the Blazer VIN for the #0584 rig? That info and anything on prior owner history can always be PM'd to me rather than put in a public forum. Don't think I've ever seen a Kentucky state sticker on one of these before, only seen western states. Looking forward to any future pics/info you might have.

Here's one over the hill from Vegas. ....
Many thanks for spotting that one, I probably missed it from being one day too early in rummaging through FB Marketplace listings across the country (I wish there was a quicker way to search instead of trying multiple 500-mile radius circles). The tell-tale things that helped me find its entry in my mega-spreadsheet is the incorrect '77 roof on it and the unpainted LPG compartment door and the custom made rear bumper. It's a '76 model year rig, Chalet #0356, built in 7/76.

Fresh barn find? Uhhhh, ... no. One of the prior owners (or simply the prior owner) in Monroe Wisconsin listed it for sale right here at CK5 in August 2020. In July 2020, it supposedly sold on ebay out of a classic car dealership in East Peoria Illinois for a buy-it-Now price of $14,990, and this aggregator of ebay sales listings shows what that auction looked like. A prior ebay auction for it in Feb 2019 was in White Bluff Tennessee by two guys who rescued the dozen Chalets in 2015-ish that some nut had been hoarding in Indianapolis, while that nut had gotten it out of a Denver Colorado ebay auction in 2010.

Did you notice the other one in the background?
Caught it about halfway through downloading the pics, it also looked familiar from the newer squarebody Blazer and the dark maroon color. A quick zip through my photo piles indicated it was the orphaned camper unit #1483 that was later installed on an '85 CUCV Blazer. This seller confirmed that.
I am going to troll him on the history of it. I will report back.
I asked if he got the #0356 from a guy named John out of CK5, but he said that was his local pal in Pahrump who actually bought it and #1483 above, and he's working with John.

When it comes to 'da interwebs' overall, it's never a good idea to say something that a person can't support, because there might be someone out there who spots that problem.

Many thanks for catching this one, glad the listing still works since I was away from the internet for the last couple of weeks. This one is Casa Grande #1457, which I reply-posted about back in April. At that time, I let the new owner know that the rig was painted incorrectly from 3 owners back by a guy who made an incorrect assumption of what the original factory brochure color was, and he told me the prior seller told him it was an all-original rig. Rather than take legal action against the prior owner seller for misrepresenting the rig to get his money back, the people (relatives, I think) selling are now trying to flip it for a $25,000 profit.
Now that's just crazy. but these are crazy times
An understatement about what buyers with loads of dollars but no sense are paying. If only I had that kind of extra cash to burn ........
Fancy paint adds 60,000 dollars, and no pix. of the interior, sure is shiny
I have at least a few pics of the interior from prior sales. It is not a fully stock original interior.

here's one i saw today

I definitely want the backstory on this one. There are thousands of images of this one all over the web.

Just a couple of things I noticed from the ad. Leather is in perfect condition. Pretty sure gm used vinyl on the seats.

The other thing is one of the pics of the chassis was taken while the truck was sitting on a roll back wrecker. Hmm, I wonder why it was up there?

I knew when that other one went for $125k on bring a trailer it would pull more out to reach big on price. He even referenced it in the ad.

Mine has the plather options too,but they don't say any thing about 8 lugs,or if it has a 400ci,then that bumper,is 5000lbs or 5000.oo$$,no close up on ps side or the refrigerator, or heater but lot of the out side pix....
Maybe I need a snickers

Me too on the Snickers. But when the guy said his is better than the on on BAT, it better be original for an apples to apples comparison. This thing isn't original. Axles, suspension, bumper and hood are the main four that are not original.

The whole draw on the other one was the originality of it. I'm still skeptical of the story (one owner/dealer never sold) but still that unit was 100% original. This truck just isn't original. The comparison to the other is bunk. It's a decent example, but modified. Is it worth $85k? Not to me. Is some idiot going to pay his price? As much as it sickens me, probably. There is an ass for every seat I suppose.
