SPLATT'S 71 Monte Carlo

Awesome upgrade.
Was thinking about a 1st gen M/C as my next project, but a station wagon makes more sense for me.
Well it's time to get going on this again. That pile of parts need to be put where they belong. First up, rear disc conversion followed by a laundry list of upgrades and repairs.
There's a disc brake kit, an a/c rebuild kit, full exhaust kit, 5spd manual kit, a new engine and related parts and a bunch of small parts to be installed. I've had a lot of those parts since 2014/15. And with all that I have a full cart on Summit racing.
I like first gen Monte's and I like even more that you're manual swapping it. What transmission are you using?
It's getting a Tremec TKO600 5spd although I wish the TKX was available at the time.

Yanked the rear end out to replace the bushings and make new hard lines. Crawling around on the floor sucks but better than the gravel driveway I used to work in.
Got a bit of work done on the Monte today. Indexed the bell housing, installed clutch and 5spd, made up and routed the plug wires and test fit the second set of headers. Tomorrow, get the rear axle back under the car.

I forgot about this post and had to go back and see if it was the tko. They are good transmissions. As longs as you’re not doing 5k clutch dumps with slicks…
Nice! Plug wire management is so clean. Also I love those valve covers, I had an orange set on my 350 prior to LS swapping.
I doubt the car will ever see a set of slicks much less a 5k clutch dump.
But, I am here to encourage you to do so

i'm here for it as well!! 
Got tired of fussing with the Eldorado calipers and went with some Bear Brakes.I also have the matching front brakes. I also made up some cribbing to get the car up a bit higher and quite a bit more stability.
Time to fit up tires so I can get some wheels. I know they'll fit the rear just need to get the right specs on the wheels. While I'm at it I'm going to see if I can get them to fit the front with the same wheel spec as the rear. If that doesn't work I have a plan B for the front.
Fancy.
I just have a couple of wheels I use then I measure how far I have to space it to make it work
