Squarebody CHOP Shop

Saw a video on youtube recently that may have used this same system. Hows it working out? Really like to see how long the cover holds up.
It appears to be about the same material as the Costco garage covers. Those seem to last 3-5 years if you keep the snow from killing them in the winter.

Hmm, be interesting to see if that holds true. Snow's not much of a problem in AZ but the sun will rot something in a matter of months here.

That left container need to be leveled a bit? looks like the outside is lifted a hair front and back or it's a camera illusion.

Likely the wide angle lens distortion. I had them nearly dead level side to side with a slight slope end to end to get water to run off. That said, they may not be completely square either. Since one container started life as a 40 footer and was cut in half at some point in time.

The barn was over due for some electrical help. The lights went out in the horse stalls (gray/ blue open barn) last night due to corrosion in the sub panel (in silo getting wet) or due to a defective breaker in the main panel (up front in the white barn with new roof). I replaced the sub panel with one rated for outdoor use along with the questionable breaker. I left room to add more circuits like motion lights and outdoor outlets later if needed as well.

I'm calling the container shelter done for now other than I need to put a bolt or clamp on my custom bracket to lock it down completely.

Making progress and nearly complete. Ended up needing a couple bolts to finish up and made a run into town with the deuce.

Seeing the rivets on the Deuce...anyone ever rivet repair panels on K5s successfully?

What is the roof on that silo?

Martin
Old lumber and shake roof that is full of holes.

I picked up a couple 10 packs of 8-foot LED shop lights and started installing them. I have half of them up so far. This is a major improvement over the old florescent fixtures. The added bonus is they are wired to the original switches that turn on the lights.

I did the same thing. Installed 32 8 foot bulbs. Mine replaced the fluorescent bulbs in the original housings. Daylight in the shop. No more cold start up flickering or buzzing.
