Squarebody CHOP Shop

Digging into electrical hookup for the shed. The pump house has power already, so the plan is to connect there and trench over to the shed.

My main house panel has 200A service with a 125A circuit feeding my shop, long overdue for an update, but not failing yet.

In the shop, 125A main with 30A feeding pump house.

In the pump house, 100A main feed with 10 ga and many empty slots. the 100A would likely never do anything, but the 30A feeding it should be good given the wire size. the 20A circuit in the pump house is the submerged well pump, the 15A is two lights in the shed with LED bulbs. A 3/4 horse submerged well pump should draw 6-8 amps when in use.

My plan is 10 ga feeding the sub panel in the shed on a 30A 220VAC breaker for now, but long term I may want to pull bigger wires for more power to the pump house (currently buried in larger than needed conduit) in order to get 50-60A service in the shed.

I have installed 3x 20A 120VAC circuits with 12ga wiring for outlets and lighting. All lighting will be LED.

My current thinking is this should not cause any problems. But I'm leaving the ability to pull larger feed wires and upsize the breakers if needed later, likely when I upgrade my house panel and run a dedicated 200A service into the shop.

By chance got a red passenger side door, with electric locks/window, and that mirror also?
I happen to be in the market.

Slap some 1/2 ton axles under it and send it.

That's a beautiful truck!

Gonna make it whole again?

Martin
I plan to part out the body on this one and save the frame. This one was repainted at some point and is full of bondo and rust hidden by bondo/paint but still likely better than most mid-west trucks. I have not checked the doors for rust yet. But if someone came along needing a body and wanted it as-is and had a drivetrain to put in it, I would sell it whole for cheap and could help put axles under it to help it roll on a trailer.
