Stock or 2in Lift Suspension Suggestions

I have always been able to pull the center caps off without removing the lug nuts. You should be fine.

And I like the white lettering as well! It may be old school, but I don't care!
The new BFG tires don't last as long, unfortunately. I am still considering a set for the '01 that I am working on.
:waytogo:

Notice the 3 bolts for the caps to rim . . . :pimp:
Yeah lol I saw those so thought they had to come off separately. But the lug holes had a lip on them that made it look like they just might stop them from coming off. Thanks for being patient with me lol

I'd leave them off until the tires and wheels are on the truck. It's easier to get at the lugs and the front is a bit tight to the hub, so you can put a little load on them inadvertently. It's possible, and it's really not that hard, but it can help keep from getting them scratched up as they are just coated pot metal. Hopefully they are easily removed from those aluminum wheels. The caps on steel wheels seem to commonly strip out, probably just from folks over tightening the self tapping screws that hold them on.

Odd no one carries that Toyo AT. But I doubt you are missing much, the BFG is good IMO.

@dyeager535 you hit the nail on the head on why I was asking. While cleaning them up, I noticed some pretty bad scarring on the hubs where the hubs were probably still on when the tires were taken on/off. So my plan was to have the tires put on without the hubs, then do the hubs myself so they don't get any more damage.

And yeah I've been able to get all of the hubs off except for 1 bolt. Funny that almost every bolt I pulled from the 3 hub holes was a different size head or length. Only reason I couldn't get the last one is because I don't have a socket wrench available at the moment because they're all in the back of my truck which has been at the shop for a week because of the bad weather. I didn't plan ahead very well lol

Thanks @fourwheelerjeff! Gonna order some of those. Getting some new emblems too. Y'all have any recommendations on factory looking lug nuts? Those are also super mismatched on my truck right now

They also need to be off the rins to balance them with the new tires installed .

So ether way they have to come off .

Those factory aluminum wheels...do they take special lug nuts? I want to think yes, but I've never dealt with those wheels. Hopefully someone who has can confirm or deny.

What would these special lug nuts look like? I took a look at what's currently on my truck. All except for 4 are the kind pictured. They aren't as mismatched as I thought.

Yep those look like the crappy 80's oem lug nuts. The fake chrome covers never last, break off, then the lug is a different size and strips.

I suggest you look here https://www.gorilla-auto.com/lug-nuts the 2 at the left of the selection are the type I would get. I looked at new lug nuts for my dune buggy last June, was @ $100 for 20 lug nuts. ouch

Thanks I’ll check out what he has. This is what my truck looks like now. I’d prefer the wheel wells to be more full. I like a “beefy” look without a big lift. I don't get how I rub with 33x12.5 with a 4in lift and other people can almost run that stock

@dyeager535 already told you but here's a confirmation, the wheels are your problem.
I had 33x12.5 on my 8" wheels and they were fine, then I changed to a new tire same size that I installed at Costco and they insisted I get at least 9" wheels or they would not install, so I had 10" wheels and went with them.
I had to cut the fenders to clear the new setup.
I am going back to original wheels and I will install them myself

Thanks @Wes Harden & @sweetk30. I'll check out those options.

My 33x10.5 tires should get here on Thursday. Hopefully installing on my stock 15x7 wheels on Friday or Monday. I'll let y'all know how everything fits
