Stomis' 94 Street Truck - Snail Trail

My truck needs wet for good burnouts.

Actually both of my trucks...

Drove the truck and tuned some more. Actually drove to a different town in it!

The new boss loves the thing. He wants to put it in the booth and paint it so bad :-X No comments. Ive decided Im not painting the thing I constantly crawl all over and wrench on!

Im progressing with the trouble shooting with the tuning. I was having an unstable idle issue. Took a look at my new learned fuel table and could immediately see why from looking at a chart lol.

Also went and picked up a new drill press today. Has a real deal dayton 1/2hp motor and Im guessing its from somewhere in the 1950 range. Weights like 300lbs. $100 score!

Sweet drill press.

Why is one header so much lower than the other? Are those universal headers for a 2WD or 4WD truck? Or is the floor that much lower on that side?

Did you take a video from the back of the truck with the H pipe?

No video from the back. As far as the headers they're made for this truck 2wd only. Not sure why they're like that. Probably something to do with interference if the motor was up and forward like it's suppose to be.

So Im putting a 4L80e in this thing as soon as I have the money...

3rd gear is gone, have to double clutch into it and now 4th gear is starting to grind. Im not putting anymore money into this nv3500. I considered a t56 magnum, in fact it was what I was always planning but honestly the way this truck has progressed I dont want to spend $4000 on a t56 magnum and bell just to go to the track bust up my ET missing a shift and wind up going auto anyway...

Trans make full manual valve body from jakes...

I built a 4L80E with a Tbrake using all Jakes parts and it hits hard. Its very violent on the launch, which is awesome. Just make sure the converter matches your vehicle combo. Good thing about the 80 is its a lockup so you can get a billet lockup converter that will allow you to stall at the right RPM for your combo and still not slip going down the freeway. This also lets the trans run very cool when the converter is locked up.

I drove it around for 6 summers now with full manual control but this spring it should be running on the Holley dominator ECU.

You will like the 80

Manuel Trans are cool but nothing like an auto for boosted launches when you twin turbo this thing .

Doing an all motor build is fun and that setup should be a serious screamer. I'd say add a turbo later but it requires a completely different setup on the bottom end.
