SUBURBICON, Urban Escape Vehicle.

Which is a shame.

Agreed. The "murdered out" thing is starting to pass so we should see more of the white stuff making a come back. I like those wheels in polished/chrome though.

I mean to plastidip his wheels in white.

I'm not sure about white, I can paint them black but I think what I want is raw aluminum, I got these for a steal, so I can sell them later for a profit, I just don't like the chrome.

Pushed it outside to clean up the shop and dust it off, so I took a few pictures.

Built a frame to mount my 2005 Chevy Silverado front seats.

I used the stock seat mounts.

The seats are pretty much in the stock position.

How do you like the height of the seats? I installed the same seats in my 1991 Crewcab and they sit pretty high. I'm looking at sectioning the floor under them to help drop down the seats because i cant see how i can work the clutch with them so high. It also doesn't help I'm 5'7"..... Work looks awesome BTW.

According to my measurements it sits around two inches lower than the stock bench seat, now I have to say that the stock bench was in very good shape.:dunno:

So then is there any difference between a suburban front floor pan and a crewcab? I know mine sit higher then the stock bench and I can only use the top two settings on my tilt. Did you modify the bottom of the seat frame to lower them?

A square body crew cab has frame rail gas tanks. So, the floor is formed to fit over the tank where as Blazers and Suburbans don't have as high of a floor because the tank is at the rear between the frame rails.

Suburbans and crew cabs have the same floor pans, only the blazers are different.

Click a picture without the cover, I have not tried mine.

It will be about a week before i get home to snap a pic without the cover. Looks like your seats are the same as mine except mine are the base model. One you get some seat time let me know what you think, i'm still trying to figure out how to lower mine down. May do blazer floor pans or section the floor, not sure yet.

I'll try to get out there and try the cover and take a picture. But it feels great to sit on, I have the same seats in my 07 Dmax.

Snaped a cover on and I would have to say it's exactly the same gap as yours. Did you have a bench or buckets, all my measurements say that these are siting lower and im 6'1".

I had the "pimp" velvet conversion buckets seats! You may not have any problems being 6'1" but I'm 5'7"ish so it takes some stretching to get to the pedals no matter how I adjust the seat. Plus I'm doing a NV4500 swap and want to be able to push the clutch pedal to the floor! :haha:

My wife is 5'4" and she can push both pedals to the floor with plenty of room to go further forward.

Head to roof clearance? Steering wheel to legs? I'm only 6' but 275 lbs and I tend to sit upright in seats, no ganster lean here.
