SUBURBICON, Urban Escape Vehicle.

wow...just wow.

You have done an amazing job!

It hurts me to see rust free bodies getting chopped up, but you actually made it look better. +1 on they shoulda come like this from GM.

Great job :bow::bow:

Thank you for all the compliments, I'm amazed at how much work my wife has let me get done in just one month. :D

That's what GM should have built !...perfect size 4x4..fits the family,yet can still be trail worthy too..

How will you get the rear glass shoertened though--plexiglass or Lexan instead of glass maybe ?...or are you going to make it a "panel truck" by filling them in with sheet metal,instead of having windows?..if so,I think that would look very cool!...

I have a glass shop that says that they can cut them down.

I'm in love with this burb:bow::bow::bow:

What is your plan for behind the rear wheels.... looks wrong with it still flat. nice job on the bob:waytogo:

I plan on building a wrap around tube bumper, if anyone has any ideas please post them.

Looks great! How did you get the roof lines to match in the windows so well?

I would run lexan, especially if you are going to wheel it. That way you will never have to worry about breaking custom cut glass. I ran lexan on my blazer's top and never had a problem.

Mine is 80% finished, the paint is almost done, the doubler is on the floor, tranny is ready, just need gears for the axles, and now I am completely at a loss on mine, this is devastating to me, because that looks so completely awesome, that mine now sucks.

Looks like you're leaving a half inch or so of the sheetmetal, then bending it down and back as a flange for the new metal to weld onto -- much slicker than just buttwelding. Are you using a special tool to do the flange, or just pliers and patience, or ... ?

Too bad some stock K5 windows out of a top didn't happen to fit it,there are plenty of those available...
Lexan is costly,but cheaper than custom cut glass would be,and it wont break...

WOW, thank you, since you feel so devastated can I have your doubler? :dunno:
