Are there any manufacturers that make them for K5s?? I was going to make my own, that's what I did when I use to have a Jeep.

most people just ditch the swaybar completely. I know I and several others on here have just took it off and had no problems.

Since I am a cheapass, ditching the swaybar is starting to sound good, since it's free:D I use to have an 04' Wrangler X, I removed the swaybar and the damn thing felt like it was going to flip over on a turn. Then again it had coil springs. I figure since these big boys have leafs, it should be more stable than the Jeep was without the bar.

on k5's ditching the swaybar isnt so drastic, i have really soft leafs and it still feels pretty stable going around corners, ditch it!

I ran the ORD disconnects until I had disconnected them twice. Then I ditched the swaybar. I will sell the disco's if you want them.

I have not noticed hardly any differance on the street or hwy since I ditched mine, I do have some stiff Rancho springs though. Scrappit Dude.

X2 on both accounts...

Hmm, i just bought the sway bar discos off a member here....Anyone else running Explorer Pro Comp (i think thats what i have) springs in the front that has taken off their sway bar??? I do a decent amount of driving on the highway and in the city......

I run Alcans and was afraid that the combination of soft springs and no sway bar would result in poor driving characteristics...maybe because I come from riding two wheels, but I find my rig much more drivable without the sway bar...

Ok, I think I may disconnect it, and take it out to see how it is...It should drive fine right? I do drive a decent amount of highway, sometimes at 70-75, but mostly around 50-60mph..if it matters, I`m running 4" springs up front on 33x14.5s soon to be 12.5s

I disconnected mine and wired it out of place, and after just a few drives, I ditched it...I run 6"inches of lift on 38's...no problem so far...

One exception to the above. The nose does dive slightly more under hard braking.

Does that have any negative effects???

I just took out the two bolts holding it on on the axle end, so i`ll take a drive later on to see how it goes....
