Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

Oh, and if anybody was interested, the 37's measure almost 3 inches taller than the "35's". And they're also about 30 pounds heavier mounted.

What load range are those 37's? D? I forget since I don't drive a HMMWV at work any more.

So why stick with the 3.73s? Your trans can't be too happy with that combo...

Not sure, I'll look today.

I wanted to get the axles in for now. We have a wheeling trip coming up in the 15th and I wanted to be sure that I would be ready. I am goiong to gear accordingly after that.

3.08's and then tell everyone your engine is torquey enough and turns 'em over just fiy-uhn.

It won't be too bad with the 3.73's for now. I'm sure the OD will be hunting some on the highway but other then that you'll be fine. Mine gets around ok with the 37"s and 3.55's and once it's in low range does fine. Of course 4.10's or 4.56's with the 37"s would be ideal.

Looking forward to seeing the new setup on the 15th:thumb:

Also I'm pretty sure the tires are E load range. My 37" BFG take offs are so I would assume the Goodyears are too.

3.42's and tractor tires.......I know your secret plan :D

Just put it in D and ignore OD.

I'm not too worried about the trans. I drive it in D all the time anyway unless I know it can get into OD and stay there.

yup and make sure you have a good trans cooler!

I've got a big one on there already.

You've at least got a diesel so you live in a lower powerband and that is somewhat valid.

Remember my hub issue? Well let me just say, its nice to know how all the parts go together
