Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

I don't necesarilly want a clean one, I want a clean slate to start with. I wanna just get something a little different that I think would be better to get started on. I cut a lot of corners with this truck, and I want to build one right.

I can understand that. I got my K10 when I was young and didn't know anything. Its a mess but still goes. I've thought of selling it and starting over but their are things about it I'd want on another truck. I'm pretty much torn on it everyday I drive it :screwy:

You gonna keep the lift or just buy new on the next project? Didnt you say its pretty stiff?

Idk Brian... I'd be happy to have your blazer to build on.

Not that I'm close enough to buy it off you but what do you think your going to ask for it?

If i could get 2500 for it that would be ideal.... realistically I'm expecting to get around 1800.

if your body is sitting on the frame from rusty cab mounts and you can fred flinstone the truck to a halt then sell it but if its any less i would fix it and from what i have seen the truck isnt to bad! my first blazer slammed the body on the frame at every speed bump from the rusted out tailpan. it always looks like to much at first but once you start tearing into it with the grinder and cutoff wheels you will realize it might be easier then you think. either way great looking truck! reminds me of mine when i first put it together.

I just put new body mounts and a body lift in... What a bitch that was. I just bought a welder, maybe I should put it to use. Idk yet

So I am home from break and got to do some work on the Blazer. I gutted the interior and to my surprise, the rust was not as bad as I thought. It definitely needs the rear floor section and a tailpan, but other than that, the other stuff is very minimal. This really helps my motivation as I was expecting the worst and I am very happy to see that I think this is within my skill set and budget to fix.

Thats good news. One day I will need to stop pretending and fix my floors too.

Yeah I was pretty psyched. I'm going to get the panels, fix the bitch, roll on some bedliner, and let her buck :D

glad to hear it! yeah we are in the same boat. three years of wheeling has cracked and bent my rear tail pan to where its starting to let the quarters fall so thats next on the list for me too.

Spray the liner on brian. Just sayin. So much easier and way better looking.

I second the spray on liner. I had bad luck with roll on liner on my previous truck.

Yup.

For what you can get some of the DIY spray kits like Raptor Liner now and the results they give there's no reason to do the roll on crap.

Alright, I'll spring for that then. On another note, did a tune up on the new truck today. Man I love this thing.

I just drove from Rhode Island to NJ, 250 miles, mostly highway, and got 18.2 mpg on the way home...

Around town, its about 14-15. Not too bad considering I guess.
