Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

Brian , maybe you should post a pic of your rig in Adams thread so he knows what a K5 looks like when both ends are lifted and not just the rear:whistle:......:D........:haha:..........

Bahahahaha :haha::haha:

I'm bored at work and I wanna do a to do list that needs to get done before I go on the Michigan Dune trip this summer with Deuling and the crew. This is going off the top of my head, and I am going to last what I think needs to get done before I can do what I want to get done.

Needs List
  • Change ALL Fluids
  • Find a 35 inch spare and mount it on one of my spare rims
  • Fix the drivers side floor rust
  • Make some sort of storage for the back
  • Get it to the point where I am comfortable driving it for 1000 miles one way (which may be never :doah:)

Wants List
  • Fix the tailpan rust
  • Swap in a set of 3/4 tons
  • Line the interior with something and put the carpet back down

I'm getting home from school the last week of May. That gives me about 6 weeks to get everything on here done. I need to get a gas bottle for my welder, and some parts and metal for the rust and everything. I'm actually pretty anxious to get working on it, as I haven't driven it since I got my Silverado. It's been sitting at my parents house for 9 months, and it is definitely going to need some TLC to get it reliable again.

What I don't want to do is bite off more than I can chew and wind up having to rush to get it back together and have something go wrong on the way there and I'm 600 miles from home... I've got some big plans for this truck, and now that I'm going to be graduating and have some reliable transportation, I can afford to do what I want to it and not worry about making it a weekend project. We'll see how much I can get done in six weeks

:D:popcorn:

Really? Thanks man.

And I know about Sarge, you're part of my motivation :pimp: I think I can get that whole list done, I've got some money saved up and I am gonna take the first three weeks of summer off and get to grinding :D

Realized I'm not subscribed. Saving my place to read the rest later

Brian, I'm going to make a recon run to my favorite pick n pull on Sunday, anything you want/need me to keep an eye out for? Last time I was there I think I saw a 6 lug 14 sf, not sure what route you are going. They usually have a good selection of square body's and there are definitely deals to be had (it's where I found the military D60 that's under Sarge for $250) :D
I can get prices or pics of anything you want and if you wanted I could always meet you up there sometime if you wanted help pick'n an pull'n :D

Got your PM, I will now be posting an add on Craigslist in the "men seeking men" section, with your number and instructions to text pics of their "equipment" to your number ........ :D. :haha:

Either way, get in touch with me closer to when you are coming down this way and I'll give you that 35" spare I have, that way you'll have it before the MI trip.

Sounds good :D if they have any truck tailgates there too let me know

Just finished reading through your thread and here is what I have gathered:

-You debate selling it every 3 months :doah:
-Serious lack of pic ho-ing
-Dueling has more posts in this thread than you Brian... :haha:

Its staying for good now. I need a stress reliever (because working on these things never does that :doah:

I'm not a big picture guy, and I really haven't done much to the truck that warrants pictures :doah: again.

That whore has more posts in a lot of threads by me :D

Got the pig started yesterday. Used it to drag a tree out of the woods that pops wants to cut up for firewood. Ripped the tailgate off today to see where I'm at with the rust issues. I don't have a tail pan :haha: I'll post pics later....

Who needs a tailgate... get one of those wicked cool nets :saweet:
