The wiring scares the hell out of me
What's the worst going to happen?.......Other than burning the truck and the shop down.
How come? I'd think it'd be pretty simple with everything apart like that.
Don't let fear drag you down. This truck is crying out for a wheeling trip.
I'm with you dude. I hate wiring. I have been putting if off for a long time.
Do you have specific headaches that you are afraid of? Or are you just hesitant to touch the wiring at all?
It's pretty simple and straight forward once you get started. You just gotta get the first connector soldered, and it will be so much easier.
I have just never done it before. I figured some of it out, just got a lot of crap under the dash that I have no idea what it is or does.

I hear ya. Sorting the eagle's nest is downright overwhelming.
But as I said before, the hard part is just getting started.

For your truck specifically, did the cab come complete with its wiring harness? Like you could almost just plug it into the K5 wiring? Or are you starting from scratch? Or somewhere in between?
This is the biggest thing for me. It works good enough for me to do the wheelin.
cab I sold him was diesel and 83 I think . so not as plug and play as it could have been . plus p.o. or 2 had the wiring kind of messed up also .
The more I think about this and talking with people, I think Painless may be getting a phone call soon.
