Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

Guess I can call S&P, I can get them to make a new one that points out more.

I love the fact that they are V bands  , since getting into diesel stuff and using v bands a lot I would never build an exhaust with any other type of connector ever again.

Teck, I just finished going through the whole tread again. This is the best build ever. The amount of time, pride, workmanship, etc. etc. is unbelievable. I love the headers. At least you dont have to work around the transmission brace with the 205 like I had to do with the 241. You are going to have a the nicest truck ANYWHERE around that can be driven anywhere anytime. This makes me wish I had gone all the way on mine.....but I had too many irons in the fire when I started on it. I bow down! AWESOME JOB!!!!:bow::bow::bow:

Thanks, THUNDERUSONE
You have done some awesome things with your too, even with that bad back.
Hopefully it is feeling better everyday

Talked to Mark at S&P this afternoon, and they are going to make me a new collector for the passenger side to fix the issue.

This one is with a 12 degree cut on the block of wood to make it point right.

Teck, I think most of us can appreciate the work you've put into your truck. I wish my Vette looked as good as your truck does. Once again, awesome job man!

I guess its just that a majority of us use our trucks in a different way then you will use yours. We all enjoy them the same but in different ways. They way you are building this truck is the way your going to enjoy it. Other people spend just as much time and money building a truck for a different purpose like mud bogging or rock crawling. So dont second guess yourself. You are just one of the few that have the time and money to take a build like this so far.

Thanks, but y'all make me feel like I've gone to far over the edge with this build.:doah:

Not at all! That blazer is getting everything it deserves especially since you bought it new! It is VERY rare you see a rig like yours that is that highly detailed yet still has the factory details like the interior trim etc. GREAT JOB! People use to laugh at me when I washed the bottom side of my K30 but it was clean and thats how I enjoyed it.

Keep up the great work!:waytogo:

I know I'm getting closer to being finished, but some days I just wonder way I have gotten this crazy with it.

I JUST WANT TO DRIVE IT AGAIN NOT WORK ON IT!:doah::doah:

Cause you like it! When i step back into reality(which i do from time to time) i think about how ridiculous it is for me to stick $1600 into my suburban when for one, gas is a million dollars gallon, and the paint and body is in piss poor shape. The fact that i own 4 trucks that all need between $1000-$6000 makes me wonder why i have gotten so crazy with it. But then i just think, Its because i like it! Its what brings me pleasure and justifies the crazy.

Tech, let me first say what an inspiration you are to me and I'm sure to a lot of other people on here. You do things to your blazer that seem to come to you as second nature and obviously arent afraid to try anything. I admire your attention to detail and hope that as I work on my jimmy it will look half as good. Keep up the amazing work and when you do finally drive it, and I'm sure it will be soon, you'll realize why you spent so much time on it.:waytogo:

Thanks, but y'all make me feel like I've gone to far over the edge with this build.:doah:

Not at all, you have a goal / vision of what you want your truck to be, and I must say you are doing one hell of a job realizing that vision :waytogo:  .

If anything you are a bit of an inspiration to a lot of people here, me included, you help us to go that extra distance to achieve a desired end result. It doesn't matter whether someone is building a show truck, a rock crawler, a budget basher or just their idea of the ultimate K5, doing it right and the way you always wanted is what having a passion for something is all about. After all if your going to half ass something, don't do it on something you love :D
