Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

You did an awesome job! I want to do the same to my K30 in the next few years.
Are you going to put the factory side molding and wheel well trim back on?

IMO I would run the SSR's as I personally think they look better than the STS.

No wheel well molding for sure that come off day one when I got it.
As for the side molding don't think it is going bak on, but some day I look at it and think maybe I should put it back on. I did get some new NOS silverado emblems to put on the back just need to decide if I'm putting them on.

How do you plan to mount the silverado emblems if you do put them on? Because dont they originally go through and screw in from the inside? Didnt know if you were gonna stick em on or actually put the holes back in as i dont see them.

Yes the holes were filled in, will have to glue them on if they go back on. My friend that painted it, has some stuff they use that is pretty bad a** that will hold the on.

I'd consider ditching the 16.5" stuff and going with 17's. You'll have way more good choices in tires...

Do you happen to have the name of said bada$$ sticky stuff? I have a silverado emblem id like to put on mine but the holes were also filled in

Weld is making Super Singles again...slightly larger holes but, they make them from 17x8 all the way to 17x14's!

Thats news to me, when i cleaned mine up and called them to get new sticker for the center caps they said they had no intension to make them again, just drag racing wheels.

I would love to get a set of 17 x 12 to replace the 16.5 x 14 I have.

Holy s**t those are expensive $635 each. That is over twice what I paid for the 17 x 8 that are on my duramax. And I'm not sure I like them as much with the bigger holes in them either.

Just ordered all the parts from ORD for new crossover steering setup.

I'm tuned in for the crossover. Can't wait to see how you take brand new parts and give them the "newer than new" look. Just keeps getting more bad@$$ with every new piece. Keep up the exceptional work.

The new parts are easy to make look good. It's the old stuff that was some work to make look good.

With the way you've got everything looking, I couldn't tell you which was which. It all looks like it just came off the line. Keep up the good work!

Got the Reid Racing knuckle today to up grade my crossover steering.
