Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

dang dude, I'd sell small children for a set of NOS vent windows.... :eek1:

they've gotta be more valuable than gold/unobtanium... nice...

They can be. I think I got a pretty good deal on these with the handles included.

I would imagine they don't come up very often..

at some point I'd love to buy 2 new sets for my rigs, but obviously I'm a long way from that..

Just got these today. Need one more part so I can replace all the cheap LMC stuff I bought I the begining.

You should just give me a bundle price for all of your old stuff you took out. It all looks brand new compared to all mine :haha:

Sorry havnt had a chance to call you.

Better in person!!!

All I can say is that you have to see this Blazer in person!

I saw it today! So many small details... I could have stared at this vehicle for hours! This Blazer looks like it just rolled off of the assembly line.

Brian has built a truly beautiful K5!

It has really inspired me to get moving on mine.

Yeah, I'm gonna be calling you for A LOT of advice!

Brian, Thank you for sharing!

Quick question. I'm about to order headers and all I can find in the way of long tube headers are Doug Thorley TriPower headers?

What headers did you use and are the long tubes?

Thanks!

I used street & preformance headers
They are not long tube headers but they do have vban collectors on them

I got mine from the same place on Teck's advice. I guess they determined there was enough of a market to build a jig after he, then I ordered them so they should be able to crank them out pretty quick.

I think mine were around $650 but I got the heat coating, vclamps, all the bells and whistles. Cant say how well they work bc I havent turned mine over yet, but they fit well, see link to pics if interested. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3175180&postcount=343

Those look great. I contacted BRP yesterday about a set because they do all the 2wd stuff. They don't make anything for a 4wd but since I'm only an hour from them they wanted to use my truck as the test mule to build a set of long tube SS headers. The only catch is the need the body back on to check for clearance.

If I can't work it out with them I'll call your guys.
