minor update.
SO I sold my 2500HD and have since been cruising the V30 for the little bit I have to drive it. I have a company truck and other than the short trips around twon, to the beach or back home I dont really have to road trip anywhere. So the big body serves a purpose...kinda.
I Finally replaced the rear output seal on the 205, for whatever reason the nut holding the yoke on was loose. So I tightened it back properly and will be keeping an eye on it to make sure it isnt boogered.
Replaced the carrier bearing, which was a bitch. and also one u joint. Nothing special jsut routine upkeep i guess.
Added a deep B&M tranny pan and a temp guage to the v30. More fluid and usual highway driving ans such has it running right around if not slightly above 160 once it warms up. Not bad but 3 gears really sucks with a big block and 4.56 gears. Ill normally drive it 55-60 somtimes 65 MPH and its anywhere from 2500 RPMs to 2800. Once I push it to 70 it runs slightly above 3000 RPMS.
I noticed the truck idled a little rough at times and tended to vib some at higher RPMS. Went in yesterday and replaced the Distributor rotor, cap and all new plugs an wires. It definely starts and runs smoother now so thats a big plus for 100 bucks in over the counter parts and a little cussing working around the headers to get the plugs out.
Also, I noticed I still have a small leak at the tranny, discovered the culprit is likely the shift shaft seal so ill be tackling that in the next day or three.
