Yeah they salt the crap out of the streets here too. My truck came from California but I'm pretty sure that it spent most of its life here. I bet his rockers are like a dream for us.

Seems like that's a trend. I'm not sure if I should cut the floor out or try and repair it.

Guess it depends on how bad. My entire DS floor is an orange highway sign riveted in. Goint to actually weld some plate in this winter.

I'm wheeling next to you, I don't have the funds for a spare shaft. 
Not bad at all, I hope to not use any parts or anything. I'll be packing almost my entire tool box and all the tools to swap out my trans.
