Well I didn't even look for any papers when I bought from summit racing but I only bought for $100, I am sure California is not going to come after me for $7.25

FWIW Mark I’ve had really good luck welding the collector flanges to the pipe with about 1/8” sticking through on the header side of the flange and use the regular style gasket. They held up good even on a cheap set of flo-tech headers with super thin flanges. I can’t remember if I posted any pics in my knitting thread or not?
And I’ve welded stainless to aluminized quite a bit too. Lol I did it on accident the first time when I welded a set of exhaust tips on a customers truck.

years ago the local exhaust guy asked if i had the reducers for my headers . i said nope . he said good they suck anyway .
he flaired the pipe up to slide in the collector and welded it in . 3 rubber hangers on each side as it was a duel system and i never had a problem / crack / blow out .

They are sending letters at the beginning of the year for Colorado if you spend over $500 thru the previous year.
This is a really good idea!! I wish I would have thought to try that. Basically it solves 90% of the issues with the 3 bolt flanges.. they suck at misalignment so stopping that from happening is first.. this would do that..

Finally had some time and decent weather to mess with the truck. Quickly found a small coolant leak, a really loose #7 plug, and low fuel pressure (18psi under load) off idle and up
After checking and cleaning the fuel filter (it’s serviceable) I swapped in the 381 pump. This whole time I still had the 241 in. No change
Removed the filter. 46 psi under load. Now turns 6400.
Looking for a GM filter and adaptation to AN I think

Napa filter head and a 10 micron spin on filter after the pump.
100 micron prefilter a cheap screen type serviceable unit is just fine, pump, 10 micron post filter. A 1pt 10 micron filter is probably good for several years of use before it clogs. No more dirty fuel issues.

or you could do a 12 micron like this . . . 82-83 6.2 diesel spin on filter unit . doing this on a carb setup feeding a 1407 edelbrock unit .

Very nice, the only reason I like the spin on filters is after hearing of guys fighting dirty filters over and over we felt like a larger spin on was easier to change and carry as a spare. The diesel filter idea above is great too, 12 micron might be a bit large for a FI system but I'm sure there is a smaller micron rated filter out there.
That one linked in is prob too small. How much surface area of filtering media could possibly be in there compared to a larger one, that's gonna limit flow. Something out of a camaro, truck or corvette - factory size should be plenty big to move enough fuel for that engine.

Do diesel fuel filters work fine for gasoline applications? If so get a Napa or Fleetguard filter head and run an FS1000(10 micron) or equivalent fuel/water separator before the pump and then a CAT 1R-0749(2 micron) after it.
I have a ebay billet special 30mic filter on both my trucks one fiteck the other vortec/Ls. With both not running well maybe I should check mine as well
I run the same filters @Bent77 does, no issues so far but my whole fuel system is fresh. I also have a fuel pressure gauge so I can periodically monitor the pressure. I've heard of others complaining about the FiTech fuel filters however I take those reviews with a grain of salt because most people are adding the EFI and those filters to an old crusty tank.
