With no fabbing to do, it should be done by the end of the day haha!

Are you blessed with decent squares in the junk yards for body pannels? The trimmed ones might not be a bad idea... I wish i had 37s and id just cut the rust out while trimming the rear fenders
Touch and go. I have a bunch of patch panels. Seem to find doors ok, fenders not as much

You're going to put nice fenders on and fix some rust and then go wheelin with me and it's all going to be worse than it was. It'll go like this... Oh yeah you can fit. We've seen tinier rigs go through there so you should be good.

Nah, not gonna hammer the crap out of this one

Yeah, eventually it happens. I cut the last one before I started and still bent the crap out of it
Not gonna pay anyone to do body work or anything, but trying to keep it decent

Also not going to be trailered, which dictates how you drive

So the headlight trim pieces came off a junker, the PO painted the area by the glass this crappy gray.

Are these supposed to be silver?

some years the surround was silver, some years it was black. I can't never remember which years were which though.

How much trimming?
I believe that they were cut right below the radiator support, and some off of the rear lower in a rounded cut.
Sort of what typical rust would do, but I found GM part stickers on the inside. A couple of welded nuts need put back in .

Pass side vs drivers
Scrubbed with acetone for 20 minutes.
What do ya think?

Kinda, the passenger one cleaned up pretty well, mostly silver.
Doesnt look like whomever painted it prepped, no sanding.
Going to strip the drivers side tomorrow

I was looking at the drivers, looks black. At first glance I like the black better, never paid attention to the color before.

They've been like that for a decade. The original ones were silver, both
were cracked.

Looking for an original 77 Scottsdale grill as well. Might go junkin this weekend

I preferred the raccoon look myself...kinda like a chick with make-up vs. without. :1zhelp:
