Just watch the fuel filler assembly, even after it's loose it likes to snag on stuff. And the wiring of course. I just put 4 hooks in the ceiling and used 4 straps in the 4 corner stake pockets, was very controllable.
Fuel filler should be easy to sort, since the tank got moved to the Burb position. Was thinking of taking the hard tube and all the clamps loose and letting it ride

I like the Stake corners as a point. It will have to get pulled outside though. There’s so much crust and BS on the bottom, I’ll never get the shop clean if I wire wheel it. Probably need to blast it, too

You mean hook it from a bar underneath?

Have the straps. Packing pull out from under
Like this…

Should be easy enough to make out of .375” x 1.5” Steel and and engine plate

I figured that might give you the thought starter to make your own.

I think it took 6 of us to take the bed off/on of Larry’s truck. Overkill for sure but we didn’t want any chance to scratch or drop it.

I’ve used a couple 2x4’s as a spreader/pick point and I’ve also just used straps. You’ll need the picker to extend high enough so the bed sides clear the tires so a pair of rollers make it easier.

I made a cross bar out of lumber once. I believe that I used a pair of 2x4s screwed together, stand them up just ahead of center to compensate for having the tailgate off. It worked ok, may not be rigid enough to travel on an engine hoist if it bounces much.

6 is definitely overkill. 2 men can lift it, 4 to put it in place. 4 of us lifted and walked my cab over to a built chassis.

Gonna drive out from under out and leave it in the yard, so this works fine

I didnt have much luck getting my bed off with my engine hoist. Maybe mine wasnt big enough, but i found it was pretty bound up on the rear quarter when i started to lift it and the radius got smaller. Then moving it, was a pain in the dink also. I ended up putting some annoyingly big scratches in the back of the cab. I used straps and a chainfall to the ceiling, like @folkenheath was mentioning. MUCH... much better that time around. I bought 4 eye'd bolts, and installed them in the stock bed bolt locations to hoist from.

On my 74 to remove the hard top I put 4 posts in the ground drove between the posts, lifted the top up, slid a couple 4x4's on L brackets on the posts and drove out, same could be done with the bed.

Do you have a swing set in the yard? Just commondere it for a couple days. Not sure how to spell that word and too lazy to look it up.

Kid uses the swing set, plus I don’t think it would lift high enough

Redneck yard hoist it is

The beam under the hoist doesn't bolt on. I cut it loose to move it down here
Looking like it may be in the shop after all. PW stands for Pueblo Wind
