Built a steering box brace today, and picked up a trans cooler to run the power steering through.
Painted the carb to TBI conversion plate. All black of course

Pictures all turned out too dark, so I guess it didnt happen.

You need my buddy Brent to help you! He likes to paint stuff that is mine pink! Then you could see the parts in pictures!

Id like to see that brace you made!
Its basic, ties the two upper bolts to one plate, crossed over to where the sway bar once landed on the passenger side. All 3/8" x 1 1/2" iron. Donated of course.

I will try to get a better picture

Finally found your build, I like it. What is the plan with the fuel tank during the 64" spring swap?

Went with a 58" Ford spring from a late 90s (I think) f150.
These have the same measurement from the locating pin forward as the factory chevy.
Allows the axle to be in same place and retain the front spring mount.

Since i had to replace the rear to do the flip, attached the new bracket back about 6"
Both factory tanks are still in place.

Almost got a set of those springs but then realized I had 56's rather then 52's

I got a little confused with your plan on th rear, it was changing so fast.

Me too!

The defining concern was not replacing both fuel tanks and front hangers. As this truck will still be daily use, having full fuel capacity was important.

In the end, 58" springs are better than 52", so any change was good

Makes sense, early in my build I thought I had 52's then when I learned a lot more I could read a tape measure.:haha:

I want to swap to a suburban tank and most likely do some 64's

I think thats just the nature of a build, how things evolve.

In that aspect is why I love the build threads.
The evolution of the thought process is captured along with the build changes.
Helps evaluate what you are doing on your own truck

Is that a crack in your steering hose?
Don't think so, but going over the PS system this weekend, will likely change the hose.
Planning on boosting the pump and adding the cooler on the return
