I have it on the fender well in front of the heater motor. Not my favorite location, but not really sure where else to mount it.

Where did you put your's?

Compressor in the bed, solenoid on the front fender below the battery tray. When I do the rear ARB I may just add a second manifold for the rear solenoid. Or maybe run it off the tank with a regulator. I wondered if running the solenoid for the rear from the engine bay might make it actuate the locker poorly with so much airline to charge. :dunno:

I don't know how to check that in the driveway and definitively show the total effect. But you could speculate the further you go one direction with the pump, the more it effects the locker from the end it started at.

In that aspect I guess I'd rather have the rear be the one slower to engage/disengage

:dunno:

Either way, probably not moving it.

Fuel injection starts this week. Finally hit both tanks empty

I don't really think that you would notice a big difference with where you mount the solenoid. Remember how the air line was in the K5? All those loops? I cut it down and I don't believe that I noticed any difference. I wanted less air line to possibly get chafed and get a hole.

That had also ran through my mind, never seemed to be an issue. I left all those extra loops in case it needed extra line. ARB says no-no

In actuality like you said, probably doesn't need extra thought

My solenoid is in the engine bay. Locks up the rear instantly. The airline is super small so it doesn't take much.

I like oddball fuel tank locations...

Didn't kill much. Fuel line wasn't injection rated. But pump is in, knock sensor, 195 t stat, and ecm temp sensor

Also took the fuel pump off.
I'm dropping all this stuff in the can. Anyone wants this stuff coming off, speak up

Picked up the proper fuel line and coolant last night. Ordered O2 sensor and bung hole, pass side pump, and TBI spacer
