2 feet, 2 pedals... just sayin.

Seriously though, a good control for a throttle would be the older style friction shifters from bikes. You can dial in the amount of friction you need and if you get one for a 8+speed derailleur you should have plenty of throw.

Something like this. http://www.amazon.com/Sunrace-SLM10-Friction-Shifter-Set/dp/B007QMJH86

How close are you to letting the clutch out in low without needed throttle input?

Your crawl ratio is 53 to 1 roughly. Mine will be 92 to 1...also have a bigger tire which I havent accounted for.

Imho if you have a manual trans a hand throttle is an excellent addition. If I had a manual to wheel with it would be mandatory for me. So much more control, smoother, it really does make a truck more capable

Some places on accent it really help. With the TBI, the IAC helps a lot, but it's a must

A nice side effect is on the bumpiest of roads, you don't have to keep your foot on the gas pedal.

So will the handthrottle return on its own if you let go or is it more dial in and stay?

I know I can bump the idle on the efi setup...this here looks real simple too. It looks like it just controls the pedal yeah?

Controls the pedal and it works like the pedal
If you let go out the throttle it just returns the gas pedal to its normal position and it goes back to Idle

I popped in here looking for info on oil pan leaks.... What the heck?! :what:

When you mentioned this in my thread i didn't have a clue how it'd work. wicked to see it though. Now it all makes sense..

No worries. Unfortunately neither was in prime condition, I had to cannibalize both to make one good one.

Since I want to go to the stranded cable, might be buying a new one. I will post up what I find and prices, etc...

I have the slack adjusted so the hand throttle picks up at roughly half pull.
The lever is canted toward the pass side, and I'm moving the ball joint spacer to the back to move it back away from the dash
