Cleaned the box up a bit, ran a flat file across the sector shaft cavity, found a nice mush on one side. The thread closest to the DS headlight was questionable.
Helicoiled it, sillyconed and reassembled. Tomorrow Ill get it back on the frame

Actually opted not to drill and tap it now. Partially because I want to make sure the leak is fixed before the effort.
Second, when I go hydro I will have the box gone through, so I'll do it then beforehand

So got the steering box back in, air bled out and not leaking so far. My middle daughter Ally turned the wheel back and forth for an hour while I cracked the lines open. Was air locked pretty bad.

She tried to start it, but no dice. She ended up helping me adjust the start switch on the column so it works right again.

Added bonus is mama gave her the blessing to go to Moab with me. She's pretty excited

That's awesome man! My nephew went with me one year. @PJTPW let him cruise his buggy around on hells revenge for a while. Dont know if he's still on here or not?

Says he was on here in late June.

Going to the Springs today to help my buddy get his M715 ready. We are going to regear the front to 4.56, cuz it works with his powr lok. He broke the rear end last winter and went to a 4.56 rear cuz he had it.

Also looking to add the factory air compressor on the 6BT. Thatll be a nice add on for Moab. He had a great idea for onboard air for the K10. Might see that in this build thread this winter...

Any kind of a build thread for his M715? He still running the stock axles? Maybe you already answered these questions...

No thread, he doesn't peruse here
D70 rear, d60 front
Clark 5 speed and 201 case

Yeah it's not my favorite method, but some of these tires they won't mount or gig ya to do it
