Cheap throw out bearings always come back to bite you in the ass. You 3rd pedal Nutt sack riders should know that.
Daauummm. Pewpew. Lol. I just put the man pedal in and run the auto.

I suppose if I was really industrious I would install the hydro clutch setup I have that came in the crew cab.

Fabrication between naps

I'm home from work sick today I've been reading your thread, awesome truck by the way. Sorry to drag old material back up in your thread, but did you just use a piece of 3/8" flat bar to mount your winch? No bent flanges (c-channel shape) at all? How has it held up mounted like this?

Thanks, sorry you are sick today

3/8" plate the width of the frame and 8". No issues so far

Thanks man, If I die I die I guess :D

I'm going to steal your good idea.

are your frame rails flat on top? Mine are flat for 6ish inches then start into the curve. This is a K30 frame...

Mine are yes

I’ve had my HF 12,000 lb winch mounted feet down on a piece of 3/8x6” plate I made into a receiver mount. It’s winched HARD quite a few times and never an issue. I actually bought it to extract 3 trucks from the woods. 3/8 plate should serve you well

Always good to know.

Both my F150 on 33’s and a Dodge 2500 on 33’s were both buried in thick iowa gumbo and it for them both out.

Someone needs to nerd out some engineering numbers on fail rating of a 3/8" plate 26" long
