With respect to tuning already done and future tuning to get it running good (not future engine mods), is it all truly self tuning or “simple” preset parameters or do you really need a laptop and know what adjustments to make (like gm tbi)?
I've let mine totally self tune. I input the CID, cam type, target idle RPM, and timing at idle-cruise-WOT. I don't think my tastes are nearly as refined as Bent77, but I've no complaints.

I have started thinking about tinkering with target AFR. Since it's been over a year I should check the plugs too. The ability to tune ranges from simple to full on laptop tweaking. I think the ideal would probably be dyno tuning.

No tinkering on cold start or idle tuning?

I do think I would like to mess with the timing curve on the laptop software. I feel like the default it's set at now is odd but I'm not even sure what it should be so I haven't done anything. I'm too afraid I'll make it worse.

Haha

Haven’t messed with the timing yet. I’ll get there some day

I haven't done a damn thing but drive it :dunno:

Last week I made a quick trail run for more beer and ice, while hauling ass down the fire roads I noticed it sounded a little weird and kinda flat when I mashed on it. Got back to camp and found a spark plug wire had fell off :doah:

That’s a good problem to have

I found a loose plug wire on my distributor cap. I was looking at the distributor and noticed a plug boot sticking up higher than the others.

And finished. Thats a long ass 40 page build thread!

I also have a carb... on my lawnmower.

Did you have AN fittings lines ran to the OE TBI? I hate those factory metal lines.
Yes I converted it

Those factory fittings are garbage. Never had an issue with AN

What fittings do you use at The TBI? It has those funky flat ends with teflon washers. I'd like to replace the factory hard lines from the frame to the throttle body with stainless and AN.

Awesome deal! I think the frame ends are like the tank fittings just the metric to AN. I have a few of the fuel pressure adaptors like you have, but fitting them with hard lines is nearly impossible.

I abandoned all the factory lines. I have -6 both ways on the lines now and adapter at the tank to AN

The Sniper came with AN fittings, so one less adapter there now
