ya my sniper has started to act weird and seems to be going backwards in its self tuning function . will post up more in the injection section thread of mine on that .

Good progress!
If you have time, you could add to the thread in the injection section. I imagine that you are finding things here and there.

Todays progress:
shorten hose to heater core
ground wire to throttle body
booster hose
Fix throttle cable
hook up vacuum line to pressure regulator, add clamp at throttle body

relocate 12V wire to under hood
Finish tying fuel lines/arb line together and protect rub points

Added these little beasts to the vac lines off the back of the throttle body, didn’t like how the line was attached

Messed with the linkage a bunch, moved it over and up an inch and checked the throw with my daughter smashing the pedal. Had to trim the plastic snout off the head of the cable amount to get enough travel

Mid week mini progress

Moved the fuel pressure sender which allowed me to build and mount a coil bracket and mount the coil.
Finish up the fuel lines by protecting the run spots and tying everything up

From the looks of it, the engine is running. Good work. Can't wait to see you leaving streaks on the pavement with it again.

This engine was doing about 17 when I did the breakin on the carb

my bone stock L31 vortec replacement 350 is pulling 23-25" at 700-725rpm

EDIT : i did a test drive and full warm 20 min of driving then sitting at 700rpm for 1min i get a rock steady 23" vac .

That verified on an external gage?

I’ll probably get the old gage out and check it just to see how close the pro flow is

I'm curious to see how that shows. My old gauge didn't match what Tuner-pro said with the TBI, nor does it match the Pro-flo. But both EFI systems were close to each other, just reading high, in my opinion.

So your gage might be pooped

Mine is a Hastings. No idea on the vintage but my dad used it when he was younger
