I think the piece should be painted gold before you install it. :deal: :pimp:

Thought about going to a NV 4500 over the dump truck trans? The 6speed transmissions that were used in later diesels seem to be just as hard to come by and pricy besides being massively large in size.

Probably the easiest to bolt up would be the ZF unit used in the gmt800 trucks up to 2006. It would have the correct bell and 6 bolt round t-case flange. Going dodge versions would require some adaptation. Having driven Larry's pewter puff with the 6-speed I'm not sure if I'd bust my ass finding one to put in.

I think another gear in mine would be nice but I end up skipping gears anyway if I'm not in a hurry so it would be silly to go change it.

Yes Larry and I have talked about the ZF, and it’s been vetoed but to being a shitty shifter

the 4500 only works if I also do both pumpkins and also driveshafts ( don’t really need OD, need gear splits)
At $5k, there’s no way

Seen and old truck with a second manual trans mounted backwards behind the first one in order to use for reduction or was it overdrive. Can't remember getting old.

Here is a silly question, why is your setup any different then the thousands of these roaming the road? Is it because of your altitude or could you fix this with a different ratio?

Sorry just a little confused and why it seems you need a unicorn trans.

Not a unicorn transmission, I’m not seeking an indestructible 4L60e

I want a gear between 1.7:1 and 1:1 without regearing both axles and buying new driveshafts
