I might have pics this weekend. @skunked might have some good pics without a bed in the way.

Here's the carb tank I ran before

The 40 gallon is longer, would have interfered with my axle.

Only difference between the 25 and 31 is height.

I guess I've never looked at a factory 40-gallon application. How do they come forward without hitting the axle? My Suburban doesn't have a huge amount of clearance between the axle and the 31-gallon tank (actually, I think it was 33 gallons when I pumped it out and filled it up). Is the small Suburban tank different from the large K5 tank?

A Suburban tank and or a Blazer tank should fit fine in a pickup. They have more space behind the rear wheels to the bumper then both of them do. Or at least the same as a Burb. The only thing you are going to lose is departure angle

I thought the rear axle in a Sub. was pushed forward 3" compared to a LWB pickup. I know the sheet metal is the same length front to rear.

So height between 31 and 40 gallon is the same?

Not sure

How much height?

Couple inches

I don't think a burb tank will fit in a short bed, it was difficult enough fitting a k5 tank and my rear axle is not pushed back.

K5 and short bed same size in the back ?
Burb is shorter then a long bed for sure.

I haven't measured from bumper to axle, but a K5 bed is shorter overall than a shortbed (5.5' vs 6' 3" inside dimension), and a suburban "bed" is the same length as an 8' 3" longbed on a pickup.

Again, these are sheet metal measurements, I haven't measured frames.

At least, not yet.

With the blazer and or burb tank what are you going to do with the filler neck? This is on my list of to do's
