Is it a complete setup or just the light bulb?
I need bright lights

Complete set up. I got it from LMC I think. The design is actually pretty cool bc the wiring harness plugs into the factory bulb sockets. However, I had to swap all that out w aftermarket pigtails bc that setup didn’t play nice w the support brace for the tailgate behind the light housing. Would work well w a barn door suburban I think. Hard to explain, but it works now.

I have one with tailgate and one with barn doors

GoThe the floor shifter for the tcase installed last night. It WAS a cable shifter from JB Fab, but after lots of studying I decided the cable shifter wasn’t going to fit. So I converted it into a linkage shifter. Still have to make the link, but I have everything by I need to do it. It leans a little to the passenger side due to the trans hump being the curved 2wd style. But that’s okay. Down the road I may build a new hump that’s better suited for 4x4, utilizing the ORD Magnum style shifter, but for now this will do.

She’s a foh by foh fuh real now. Whipped together some linkage and she shifts into all gears. The tcase is for sure worn out and there are things about the shifter that I wish were better, so this is certainly not the final draft. But, it’ll do for now. I wanna go get dirty now!

I tried to do the same on mine, it wouldn't budge. I think I had the tcase side to short and it wouldn't pull it forward. Sadly I have had to do the buddy system for 10 years...

Any reason why you didn't use the stock shifter?
I have a few

I’ve never been a big fan of them. That’s pretty much it. I took a gamble on a cable shifter and lost. It wouldn’t fit, so I modified it to be a linkage shifter.

I did a thing today.

Found a 1999 aka 2000 506 block for free. Owner says it’s got a blown head gasket. He bought an optimizer to replace it because he doesn’t like to mess with engine internals. Said it had little blow by. We will see what the real condition is once I get it out of the box and on a stand. If I’m lucky, it’ll make a good platform for a diesel build for Blu. If not, it’ll get me some lunch money at the scrap yard. For the price tag, it’s worth the gamble.

And, Blu picked it up and brought it home, which seems special.

I am going to follow this one.
I will be soon opening up my 92 sitting in storage.

Photo dump. I got the motor out of the crate yesterday and immediately tore it down to determine if it’s usable or not. The #2 main has a crack, but that’s it. Seems usable to me. But for now, it’s tucked away in the corner of my shop while I finish building Red.

From my experience, when an iron block is cracked, I get a different block.

I see that one may be done propagating, so it shouldn't leak coolant, but I still wouldn't trust it strength wise.
