Doing well. I bought my kids 340 Polaris snowmobiles and season passes to the ski area this winter. That has been taking up most of my free time, teaching them to ski and drive sleds. The Bruin has been the main transportation to the mountain this winter and has done very well. Back in January the alternator froze up on me just after I left the house to ski. Melted through the belt. I was able to limp it back home a few blocks. Ran to the parts store, grabbed an alternator and belt. 45 min later we were headed to the mountain again. Its time for an oil change, I have put 3000 miles on already. Its about 70 miles round trip up to the snow and I have been doing that twice a weekend most of the winter. Now that spring is coming I will have a bit of time for a tune up but we just had a big powder dump yesterday, so back to the mountain this weekend. I can't believe how well it has done after sitting for a decade, its become one of my favorite trucks. How's this thing doing?
I think after auction fees and taxes I was only at a couple thousand. Granted it has some dings and dents and the interior is just old work truck but I also don't have to worry about branch scratches and snow/ mud in the interior. It will surely eat up a few thousand more as I work on it. Slowly doing a little maintenance and upgrades like the brakes. I got a weatherstrip kit from @GMCPaul and that made it nicer to drive. Might do some seat covers and a working radio would be nice.I am jealous. Suburbans are wildly underrated. What did you have to give, if you don't mind me asking?
Need to put the steel wheels back on with some hub caps.........
