The Crewbicon

Sweet!! glad you made it over to CK5, ive been following your thread over in pirate. your fenders are awesome! i love the idea of a service truck body on it as well, for an expo/camping rig that'd be about the ultimate in functionality.

Not much to look at but I did get the bed back on and started fabbing up some mounts and thought that I would share some pics.

I'm diggin' that shot. The proportions really work.

I'd love some more details on the front seat install. How and what did you mod to get the fit? How much clearance do you have with the steering wheel?

As far as clearance it is the same as the stock bench seat, infact it is also the same as my 07 silverado.

First remove the feet off the botom of the seats and take mallet to the floor till you get it where you need it, I welded 3/16" plates to the floors where I needed the bolts and angle behind the transmision hump to catch the front center bolts, once I get the cage installed I will tie these mount in.

One or two more pics please, with the seat in forward and mid position and the steering wheel tilt straight to column?
Those pics really help with mounting.

I've got a sudden urge to find a service bed. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

that's going to be a beefy rig :waytogo:

I think it would look best with the top of the tool bed even with the back window. Then a pipe/ladder rack that matches the roof height. Followed up with a canvas cover for the rack. Sexy!

Thanks to everyone, I'm working 60hrs a week and trying to clean up the place so that I can build a bed frame and mount the boxes and fuel tank. Should get some work done soon.
