The Cummins K30

Before the az summer hit I knew I had to get the ac installed and wrapped up. I also decided to strip the interior and add sound deadening / insulation to the cab floor

I used a bulkhead to bring the heater and ac lines through the firewall

The evaportor mounts under the dash behind the glovebox. For some reason this is the only pic I can find that shows the insulation I put down.

And here's a couple pix for you rust belt guys before I laid the new insulation down. (The brown spots are carpet fuzz, not surface rust) Arizona trucks are so nice to work on!!!!!

how much room does that system take up under the dash? I guess what im rally wondering is if it will fit under Kert's dashes. Everything else looks great.

Its small enough to fit between the firewall and the glove box. I have only seen pics of Kert's dash but I would assume there would be enough room to position the evaporator.

Also, I forgot to mention that I did not use a Vintage Air kit. I went with a company called Nostalgic Air Parts. They were less money and also converted my factory controls and vents for me to work with their system.

lookin good

looks grate man ! gota get rid of that dodge intake horn or just grind off the dodge part . The isulation is a grate idea ,I can't hear a dam thing when i'm pullen with my cc ctd . my frends named my truck the big deal already but I wanted to go with smoken six pack

The insulation made a huge difference insde the cab. Its not all that loud, in fact you can hear the turbo the most. Get rid of the dodge air horn. It is so restrictive. Mine pulls a trailer so much better now that I changed the intake and turbo around

Looking good! I'm planning on doing the same thing with my firewall and have already cleared everything off. Did you fill each separate hole, or did you do one big piece?

I built patch panels and filled each hole. I considered skinning the whole firewall, but then you would be able to see where the panel ended. I did the bodywork on the firewall and finished it with some spray on bedliner.

Very cool. That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind for mine (I had to cut my firewall though). I even planned on doing the inner wheel well housings with bedliner too.

This truck only has 60k on it and the interior is complete and in good condion. It had a slide in camper in it most of its life and was really well taken care of. But the bench seats and saddle blanket seat covers were less than comfortable and I wanted to update the interior. I found these seats on craigslist for a smokin deal and couldn't pass them up

Cool! Were the seats bolt in? What were they out of? I've got leather seats out of an 09 Escalade for mine, but they definitely don't fit without major bracket work.

I bought the seats new in plastic but the guy I got them from wouldn't tell me what they're out of. I think they're out of a honda van but not sure. I took the sliders off the front seats and built a frame to mount the new seats to and in the rear I built a new seat frame that bolts to the original mounting points in the floor. So the front seats slide like a bench seat and the rear seats don't slide, but I was able to use all of the factory seat mounting points and didn't modify the floor at all
