Since this thing literally hasn't seen 1,000 miles since December, and it's becoming more of a dedicated off-roader/weekend rig than the overloading truck I originally envisioned, some safety items have fallen a long way down the list. For example, it no longer has abs, as it wasn't that great anyways, and the axles I swapped in aren't abs capable anyways. Since I got in that accident where the bags deployed but I didn't hit my face in the bag, (I wear glasses so I'd definitely know) I decided I don't want them in case of the much greater chance I hit the bumper on a rock hard enough to deploy them than the chance needing them in an accident. The only reason I'm doing this is because insurance wants me to register it in Utah and Utah wants it to pass a visual inspection. As soon as it does, that Chevy steering wheel cover is coming off and my GMC one is going back in.
