The Green Machine - parked

So, insurance got on my case, so I need to make this thing pass inspection, so the only thing I really needed was an airbag. I changed out the passenger side 'bag for the cubby that the work truck models came with, and the steering wheel 'bag came from a Chevy. So now I own a current for a week.

That's pretty sweet, I'll have to make my driveway have a built in RTI ramp someday

Why don't you replace the air bags?

In a rig designed for them, i'd sure want them working. Don't want to start a whole airbag debate, but truthfully, photos like this online could be very incriminating if someone ever gets seriously injured in your truck.

Since this thing literally hasn't seen 1,000 miles since December, and it's becoming more of a dedicated off-roader/weekend rig than the overloading truck I originally envisioned, some safety items have fallen a long way down the list. For example, it no longer has abs, as it wasn't that great anyways, and the axles I swapped in aren't abs capable anyways. Since I got in that accident where the bags deployed but I didn't hit my face in the bag, (I wear glasses so I'd definitely know) I decided I don't want them in case of the much greater chance I hit the bumper on a rock hard enough to deploy them than the chance needing them in an accident. The only reason I'm doing this is because insurance wants me to register it in Utah and Utah wants it to pass a visual inspection. As soon as it does, that Chevy steering wheel cover is coming off and my GMC one is going back in.

That bumper is going to fit that truck perfectly. Looks killer already!

Thanks. When Kert (@diy4x) finally gets his swing down tire carrier rear bumper developed and sells me one I'll get it and have both front and rear painted to match the lower body color on the Yukon. By that time I'll have the winch refurbished and ready to install. Then it'll look really good.

Anyone have any troubles running Bilstein 5125's with the shock boot up? I just bought some for my Yukon and having the body up wont fit in the upper shock mounts I built. (I'll address that issue at a later date) So I'm wondering if I can just stuff them in there with the body down. Instructions say to mount it with the body up, but I just spoke to a tech at Bilstein and said either way would work. I just wanted to find out if anyone else faced a similar issue
