The Original Jaws Blazer Build

I don't know what you're worried about. Looks pretty good in the pic. You even painted the inside. :waytogo:

Cleaned up transmission with wire cup brush on angle grinder

I wish I had the time/drive for your thoroughness!:thumb::thumb:

Edit: I say clear it! Bling :pimp:

Or paint it with whatever was used to paint the end of the t-case in the 2nd pic.

Not that it much matters because they don't make them anymore, but I do know now what the official tire was on the Jaws Blazer....it was a L78-15 Uniroyal Fastrak :whistle:

Here are the NOS set of 1984 interior bed side covers that I picked up today.
They are not exactly like the 1974 ones, but the length is and height is exact...the only difference is that they don't wrap around in the front.

So, I have two choices...use these as patterns and make my own and have them upholstered, or modify these and have them upholstered....I now have a good visual of how the metal piece attaches and how it would work as these are the same, they just cut them short...in other words, the metal wraps to a 90 degree curve but is cut immediately past the bend....

Use them as templates! If you use these and mess up ( I know I wouldn't get 'em right on the first try) you're out some money and still need to buy another template. You can resell them when you get your new ones perfected.

totally was at the farm today next to our 75 k5 and didnt think to check the wrap around. Dont know when ill be back down there though, hour and a half away.

Trims still here at home though.

Same guy that sold me the panels located me an unmolested 1974 dash bezel...needs cleanup but I am glad to have it!
