So there's the last 3 years of my life in a nutshell...

That's just a tiny fraction of all the photos too...these are just the "milestones"...when I look at the other photos I can actually remember everything about when I was doing that particular thing...it's really overwhelming how much work is in this thing...reliving some of those steps is not really fun...putting in that transfer case was one of those days...:doah:

Chief, I have to say, this has turned out to be epic. I follow the other thread and don't reply much, but I lurk. This thing turned out ****ing tits.

Thanks in largest part to Paul (without him this wouldn't have happened) and finally the body shop and lots of my sweat and blood...I will post pics when I finally get it back with the hood on...

should last a while too....

I am so thankful for your help and all the rust treatment techniques...I think it will last until I am too old to drive it anymore...without rust.

If I can just get it back from the body shop....I have mental images of everybody at the shop driving it and telling me "it's not ready yet" when I call on the phone....:haha:

I want to put the grill on....I have a bag of 100 of those little nylon inserts AND I CANNOT FIND IT!!!!!!!!!:doah::doah::doah:

My hat is off to you sir.

I have been following the thread since pretty much the beginning.

I am so impressed with the work and just the overall goal never never changing

Many of us could take a lesson from that. Make a plan and execute it.

Brilliant Chief just plain flat out brilliant

x2! So often our builds want to encompass all of our fantasies into one build. That being the case, at some point, the build inevitably looses direction and either the build stops, or the outcome is something that doesn't work well for anything. Having a firm plan in place going into it and sticking with it is what produces a quality finished product like we have here.

Thanks! I've got the skinny wheels with the whole hubcaps on now...while I had it up in the air replacing the pinion seal I took the other wheels off.

I will take pics tomorrow afternoon when I can get it out of the garage.

These wheels make it look like the Brody Blazer...they definitely look smaller than my 31.10's

I will run these wheels if I cruise to a car show. I'll run the bigger wheels for normal driving.

Find it! I wanna see the grill on too!

I've looked everywhere...I can't find it...gonna give up on it and go buy the little HELP pack at the parts store...
then as soon as I have the grill on, the big bag will show up....

X SQUIRREL!!! :D

Props for knowing what you wanted to build and focusing on that goal like a laser until it was completed. As Eric mentioned, the longer a build takes the more likely it is that the goalposts will get moved and the direction will change from the original concept. Next thing you know, you've got a hodge-Podge of parts bolted to a truck that doesn't even run...

Can't wait to see more photos as the "beauty parts" are bolted back on... Final assembly has got to be an amazing feeling. I will be happy when I'm out of the metal-grinding, dirty from head-to-toe phase and can work on cleaner processes.

Sticking to a goal on these builds is very hard to do. You have done a great job at it so far. Keep up the good work. It just gets better from here, all the small detail thing make you feel better then every that that you have been able to accomplish your goal/dream.

You should be very proud of what you have built.:waytogo:
