The Purple Camaro

Yea that gear spread is hard to deal with. If you can keep the governor ready to shift, then manually shift the auto, to hold it to your preferred rpm, you can have 2 different rpm shifts for 1-2, and 2-3 shift. (how's that for a run on sentence)? I did find that my blower motor, made so much torque, that it really didn't care about shift points.

Although that gear spread is not ideal, a good converter can help cover up that gear spread, I noticed you don't have any converter slip in there. It will rise after the shift to keep the engine in the correct RPM range, unless its too tight.

On my runs the converter will only be slipping around 2 - 6% right before the shift and then it will flash up around 30% shortly after the shift and then tighten back up to 5% or so as the RPM increases again. This is all at WOT of course.

I have like ten of them, but they are all third gens…….

Someone here is greedy....

I dream of 69's. I had one in high school but it was a problem child, I want another for a weekend cruiser some day.

Pushed all these to a new thread

I figured it was too rich by the way it ran on the top end. May also have a reversion on the header at the head
