It's cool and all but dollar for dollar a 4" bore block is still a better return on your money. They kept saying 305, and small displacement, the stroked it to 340.
It's now a 340.
Don't say it's amazing how how much power a 305 can make

They did say the same applies to a 327, 350 and a 400 blockIt's cool and all but dollar for dollar a 4" bore block is still a better return on your money.
I just never understood throwing money into a 305 when you can get better return on money spent on larger bore engines. I do understand that there are racing classes where there are rules limiting you to a 305 but if there aren't any rules involved go to the bigger bore. They did say the same applies to a 327, 350 and a 400 block
The 305 BS was a bunch of us just playing around because a certain cactus licker was being very quiet about what he was buying and building.I just never understood throwing money into a 305 when you can get better return on money spent on larger bore engines. You found my enthusiasm!Yippee
yes. But between the installation of the clutch can, engine plate, and the pan also leaking, it's "Everybody out of the pool"One piece rear main?
Believe me we've all been there and most likely be there againI hate these types of projects. Nothing about this is going to make it more fun
