yeah i was going to build an axial before i got the tmaxx... but remembered that slow wasnt me.. this thing COOKS!!!!!
my tmaxx is just amazing... i raced a mustang telephone pole to pole.. and whoooooped him EVERY time... weight to power ratio is in my favor.. 10lbs and 3.4 proclaimed hp.... to his what.. 300hp / 3500lb?:dunno:
 
I have the Savage with the .26 picco motor.
You can spend a rediculous amount of money on these thing and I just stopped playing with it after a while. I did all the standard mods, extended chasis, upgraded steering servo, carbon fiber brake disc, hardened dog bones, aluminum wheels....ect

I got tired of breaking the pull start on the thing so I bought the electric start and now just break the little one way bearing. :doah:

Fun toy but to delicate. All those aluminum parts you can buy are somewhat worse then the plastic parts. No the don't break but the just move the point of the break to a different location which is usually more expensive to fix. That or the aluminum parts bend which is just as bad as breaking. I kept most of my parts plastic except for the wheels. I kept stripping out the platsic wheels with the bigger motor.

Mine sits in a box and probably hasn't been played with in 3 years.

That's what I am afraid of wifey told me I can either have this or finish my doubler unless I can sell some stuff or maybe he is interested in some trades??? Lol

You just don't have the right place to play with a crawler, I could play with mine from daylight till dark and never really get bored while playing on my property. :whistle:

Just ran across this thread, all these trucks make me want to do something with my RC. I know nothing about RC stuff but I picked up a (what I was told was) a team associated T3 and a ton of spare parts. If I post a pick can anyone identify what it actually is?

Are T3 chassis any good? Can I do a blazer body on one? I don't want a crawler, but would like to haul off-road if possible, or would it be better to sell and get a different platform?

t3s are great for racing, bashing not so much.

You should be able to sell it for a pretty good price.

I think Traxxas slashs are the best for fun in bashing, screwing around, and overall durability.

I had a traxxas rustler and i would always break a arms and such but i think the slash body keeps the chassis together and makes it look cool.

Thats my suggestion, pick up a slash.

What is the t3 worth if I decide to sell and get a slash?
 
I want to build a crawler SOOOOO bad. I dont use the slash enough to justify buying another one though... but a 4x4 might be more fun for the times the 2wd slash is pretty much useless.:thinking:
 
I have a basic 2wd slash, its alot of fun to mess around with, just need some better batteries.

I see the crawlers everone on here has, and it looks like alot of fun too. like going 180 degrees off from the slash.

Could one of those axials be made to haul ass?
 
Yes the scx10 can run pretty good, swap in a small turn motor and it will run pretty good but not like a slash. I could chase my dog around the yard with factory 27turn motor but I can't now with the 55turn crawler motor, I'd like to get a 15-19turn motor to goof around with for mine.
 
So would the 12T stock in my slash be too much for one of the scx10's?:thinking: It would be somewhat convenient to just swap the ESC and motor right into that one and upgrade the slash.

Ive been wanting to go brushless in the slash, I like to go fast:D

As long as it's brushed it should work.

We do the best we can on getting people hooked on hobbies. :D :doah:
 
So what did you do to mount the 80 chev body on the scx10? Is it as simple as poking the holes in the correct locations?

Im thinking metallic orange and white two tone...
 
Yea pretty much, I had to move the mounting post around to the right height for the body and it was ready to go.
 
Ok so I have been looking at some nitro rc cars on cl what's the difference between the tmaxx 3.3 and the revo 3.3?
