"The Raped Grape" turning wilted raisin... ***crash update, pics start post 600***

I keep forgetting you guys are scared of rocks. I was wondering why you didn't cut the frame off behind the shackle hangers, and then I thought sand . . . . . .

Yah we don't get into that rock business. We like to play in the dunes with all the sissy jeep owners.:doah:

What rocks is he referring to in Michigan?

Dirt, mud, sand and trees, sure.

There are no rocks in Nebraska, yet I manage to go rock crawling.

Martin

He could go rock crawling in Michigan. I've done it.

However he'd have to go a long way to do it and rocks are also not his stated use of this vehicle.

that was BS wasn't it?
Nate, I think I'd go for the swap too, how are the cab supports under the floors?

I'd do the cab swap too if the a hole ever got back to me. We spoke for 2 days loosely talked about setting something up for last Saturday said I would let him know a time for Saturday and when I texted him back a time and asked for a address no response. I've tried texting a few times and left a voicemail too him it's been 5 days still haven't heard from him :dunno: some people I don't get it.

Probably sold it and doesn't have the decency to let you know.

Thanks Mike. A couple months ain't too bad haha :haha:

More parts coming in the mail ordered my shackle flip from Kurt and still waiting on all my hydro assist stuff to come yet.

Anyways got some stuff done tonight. My ORD drop pitman arm came so I finally got my drag link in the truck and can steer it.

Also worked some more on boxing in the frame. Only was able to get one piece cut cause I ran out of oxygen for the torches so I switched to the plasma which takes forever:doah: I got some card board templates made of the pieces I need to cut out yet.

Was going to say the same, I know you won't be "flexin" all that much but from the pics it looks like your pretty close to maxing out the TRE's now. A bent drag link would really help with that as well as preventing some bump steer.

Good progress otherwise, and although lots of us bash on sky high rigs..........at the end of the day they are pretty :pimp: to cruise around in :waytogo:

If he actually hits max angle on those tres... I will be surprised lol.

Even at that angle, once the ram gets mounted and plumbed it wont matter. I would still recommend a bent link because it looks and functions better, but if you dont see fit that ram will cancel out any bumpsteer you get from that angle.

Yes I agree with everyone a bent draglink would be better. Its one of those things ill see how it works once the trucks done but I highly doubt ill max out those tre's. Im predicting maybe 2" of overall travel with these springs. They're a little stiff :haha:
