Except he drilled holes in it for speakers.
Yah I noticed that once the pic was blown up on here. Couldn't see that in the little tiny cell phone pic.

You'd be silly not to.

Take it from me, there's A LOT more to a cab swap than 4 body mount bolts. Things tend to snowball when a truck comes that far apart.![]()

Yah there really isnt much keeping me from removing my entire front clip and cab right now. Body mounts, steering shaft, and brake lines is all which is one reason this cab swap is very appealing to me. My thinking is well you've gone this far, my as well swap a cab out. I know in the end its want im going to want. I also know how much more work its gonna make for me this winter
Right now im planning on buying it. Its 3 hours one way from me so its not like I can just go look at it. Also the guy originally told me everything is in great shape said core support had one little rust spot and that was it. Now the more questions I ask him the more back pedaling he seems to keep doing so idk worst case scenario I spend 6 hours driving this weekend for the scenery.
He is going to send more detailed pics tonight he said so we shall see.
And yes if I buy it, ita surely going to become a snowball.![]()
"Might as well" effect
I swapped to a 2wd cab on my Burb when I did it. Biggest reason I left the 2wd trans tunnel is with a 3in body lift like we have, usually the holes for the shifter dont work without cutting them bigger, so I cut the 2wd floor and the factory covers fit and it looked factory vs having to enlarge the holes and such and it look hacked up underneath.
My Burb took 1 day and 4 guys to swap, plus had it running and driving that night. For me it was a simple body mount unbolt and lift. All the wires stayed with the body and simply dropped on the frame and were tied down like stock. Be very careful not to pinch any wires on anything. And I also swapped mine in 1 piece, didnt remove fenders, radiator, hood or anything.
hopefully he gets in touch soon. Or he sold it already and just doesn't want to deal with me.Just ordered a pitman arm to finish up the cross over and then I also just ordered everything for my hydro assist
I'm following KidjetHro's cheap hydro assist. My bill was $148.25 for ram two hoses and my fittings. I plan on tapping my box myself and then also plan on doing the couple mods to the pump. Drill out Oriphis, and stretch out spring.
He seemed to have good luck with it all and liked the outcome so I figured I'll try it out. I figure down the road the pump mods may not be a long term thing and I may need to look into an aftermarket pump.
