We'll, I just stumbled onto this build and really like you have a plan. All the guys helping out with opinions and info is a great too. I'm not much for sand but your build seems to have a purpose for fun. When you boxed the frame, did all the lines stay inside? How were all the xmembers planned to stay in location? Just weld everything in? Really curious about accessability to everything. Cool build

And yes I do have a plan and goal for this truck and all this beefing the frame and new crossmembers is definitely necessary for what I wamt to do with the truck. What that is exactly is staying a secret until it actually becomes reality. Stay tuned. It should be interesting to say the least.

yah the plating was all put on the inside of the frame rails. And the rear crossmember I made removable but the two I made by the cab I just welded in. Didnt see a need where I would every need to remove them so I didnt take the extra time to make them bolt in.
Not a ton to report. Pulled the heart out of The Raped Grape.
And then cleaned up the firewall and coated it with some 3m undercoat spray.

5.3. Got complete motor with harness and ecm only thing missing is alternator for $500. Found it on craigslist.

Searching "5.3" under "auto parts usually found me the most results. Ive always found being as vague as possible then just look through the crap to find what you want.
