The RedBurb

Every Part Is Replaceable
You will be surprised what the gravity gun will do. Even HF brand. If you have a panel you can practice on, I would recommend it. Especially the clear coat.

Yeah, I’ve been testing on some scrap plywood before I get started to get a feel for the gun. I’m using single stage paint tho so no need for clear coat.

Did you build that canopy?
My ex and I had 2 10x20 we used for camping.

Nice work!
Thank you!

We had the canopy already. It’s the parking spot for our blue suburban. I bought extra transparent tarps to temporarily close in the sides for the paint job.

Looks real nice!

Your engine looks great too, real nice work!
Thank you!

Mighty gine work.
You've brought it a long way.

Thanks. Got a long way to go still!

White side inserts would be perfect on that!

I couldn’t let it be.

Y’all either didn’t notice or you’re really gracious.

The first attempt at paint was less than satisfactory as the sunlight made it obvious that the paint was uneven and streaky. I think it was partially due to using a gun too small for the task. So I went to work giving it all a light sanding with 1,000 grit. Shot it again today giving it 3 more coats on top of the first 3. It’ll be a few days before it sees sunlight due to inclement weather, but I think this time full coverage was achieved. I’m contemplating a wet sand and buff once the paint has fully cured. We will see.

I modified the filters on this first photo so we could see just how uneven the paint was.

I half enjoyed the dulled look of the sanded fresh paint …

But I prefer the shine.

I know, I need to fix the gaps on those cargo doors.
