The restoration/modification of Daisy.

for my side branch resonator. Musta missed this one. Whats up. Whats does said dohickey do?

DW

I've got a thread in the garage that explains it. Now that my cruising rpm is higher with the 4.88s, I've got an exhaust drone between 70-80mph. A side branch resonator cancels out the drone.

Have you gotten it installed yet? Curious to see how well it worked

ORD-style tube looks great. Also, I've meant to compliment you on your steering damper and u-bolt adapter. Looks familiar...

Not yet, it's been 110+ outside, motivation is low.

Interested to see how the aeromotive pump does, it may be in my future as well if my ep381 doesn't hold up..

I'll order it today, I'll let you all know.

Thanks, I'm happy with it. Yeah I picked the damper up from some hillbilly here on ck5.

Do you find that it's easier for you to find motivation in the winter time?

That would, of course, be backwards of the motivational patterns here.

Yep. When it's 65* outside its easy to get **** done. At 110*, not so much.

Yeah, that is backwards. 65* sounds like a summer temperature to me. No way we'd be that warm in the wintertime.

Checked the weather just for grins...66* right now in our area. :thumb:

We just have mutually exclusive seasonal differences. :haha:

Progress was made today, without ever touching the suburban. The compressor and old fuel pump are scheduled to be returned to summit on Wednesday, the aeromotive pump is ordered and I sourced a better compressor locally. I also picked up 20' of 2" .188 square tube and the latch for the rear swing outs showed up. I've got a lot to do but I'm optimistic.

I'm seriously thinking about the same pump.

Is it bad I kind of want to wait and see how it turns out for you?

Can the regulator bring it down from 90psi consistently over time? That far over the regulator pressure makes me a bit hesitant.

Pretty sure he has the vette filter and regulator setup so they have to be swapped at the same time.

That's the setup I have.

If you were running a 508, you may want to step up to a 709 which has a little more displacement. That helps on huge systems like ours with large front and rear evaporators.

I was gonna wait for you to pull the trigger first haha! I'll have mine today.

I've got the corvette filter than steps it down to 65psi. I'm sure it'll be fine.

I talked to a local A/C shop about that yesterday, they suggested the same.

That's why I have not a damn thing to my Burb this summer. It's to damn hot. I helped a buddy pull a motor and trans on Saturday and it was 105 are so. F doing that again.

I work outside anyway so it doesn't bother me too much but 110* is my max. I can work all day in 105* but for some reason I start feeling it at 110*.

I lied, ordering it after work.

Hahaa!

I can't remember, but my walbro puts out similar PSI, and I regulated it down to 14.5. Hasn't complained yet.

Well there it is...
