The restoration/modification of Daisy.

I've never seen an aftermarket 16.5" wheel with a safety bead. I have lots if GM 16.5" wheels with safety beads.

Back on topic, I wasn't trying to be a dick, you were just composing about the cost difference between 35's and 37's. The military surplus tires are the cheapest way to get into 37's.

I know you weren't, no worries. I just want to get away from 16.5s for a few reasons. Availability and aesthetics mainly. I love the way h2 wheels look on an older truck and I've had problems getting 16.5 tires on road trips before. A small town tire shop is more likely to have something in a 17 than a 16.5 nowadays. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards an all terrain. I live in the desert. Even the "mud" we have here (for about one day after a rain storm) is pretty rocky, it never gets sticky and heavy like it does else where.

It seems like most people are also not aware of the stock GM wheels with a safety bead.

I like the looks of the H2's myself. I had a set on my Surban for awhile.

I skimmed your thread, but couldn't find out if you figured out the lug nuts for your h2 wheels. I found lug nuts for a 2002 Dodge 2500 4x4 5.9l Diesel engine if you want to grab some from rock auto, autozone, or the junkyard. The downside is the ones I got do not have the inside threads for the center caps. Best price I found was from rockauto and I think I paid $52 for 30 and 2 from autozone. I think I have a part number for them if you would prefer that.

I've got a dorman part number somewhere at home for the lugnuts to make the covers work.

Whoops, that link goes nowhere. It was the address on his card he gave me. I'll give you the rest of his info.

Hey Muddy, how is your wiring going with the BD modified harness and computer?

So far, it isn't. I've been slacking. I've got everything routed through the firewall and that's where it's stopped.
I really need to get over my fear of electrical work.

Good work as usual.

Thank you sir.
