I have heard they ride really nice, but I have also heard they are pretty heavy. I just look at it as extra security to keep you wheels down though.![]()
Yeah but they're still lighter than the military goodyears I had on the suburban.

Looks good scott
Thousand miles man thats gotta feel good. Great job Scott. Cant wait to see where it goes from here. Your a great example of what I preach. Wanna have a nice truck? Keep it for a long time.
Yeah it threw me off too. I do not approve.

For a second I thought this was my build...
Or Adam's...![]()

Yeah, it does for me at least.
I think this week I'm going to start building crossmembers. I've got a torch and a stick welder on my service truck, it may not be ideal but it's what I've got. This weekend I'll be removing the body lift and installing my new bushings.

I got the complete body mounting kit from LMC. I've already started spraying the body mount bolts with penetrating oil though I'm sure it's a little unnecessary. Those bolts have been in there 10yrs or so and Daisy has been a desert truck all her life.
.......in storage...yep, i'm installing a whole dash setup from Classic dash.

Oh yeah - The build looks nice too. Great to see it out on the road! Have any new issues arisen in the 1000 miles to this point?

the only real issues are that i had too small of a fuse in the fan circuits, bumped those up and it hasn't gone over 210* since. (the fans are programmed to come on at 210*) the front springs make noise and ride ****ty but they're going way soon enough. the window seals and drivers door window switch suck but thats all getting replaced as well. nothing major.![]()

Probably better for it to not have bubbly fluid anyway!
Yeah, the steering fluid will probably run a little cooler now. I'm just happy it doesn't sound like **** anymore.

If you decide you miss the noise, go ahead and weld up the rubber isolation joint in your XJ shaft.
You'll hear all sorts of pump/box noises resonating up your steering column
Ask me how i know.
On topic though, what did you do wrong with your steering?
About to replace my box, don't want to get all confused and do it wrong.
