I'm still thinking about going, though in my Subaru and not my burb.
Dynamat is made for that use, and at its cost, BETTER not smell.
This isnt' really made for it, but seems to be a cost effective substitute!

I've been making progress on the wiring, the a/c is pretty much done. This weekend we'll hit the stereo and hopefully put the interior back together. I still need to take care of the dash.
I think I'm doing the peel and seal in the limo. At least the doors, roof and rear cargo area this next month. The front floor board won't get done till I find my leak.
About how thick is the peel-n-seal?

The restoration/modification of Daisy…
I've been plugging away at the interior of the suburban, up until yesterday. My friend came over Sunday and wired up the stereo and some interior lights for me while I reinstalled the heater core and duct work, flushed the cooling system and cleaned up some wiring. Later that night I installed the carpet, seats and shift boots. I plugged in the stereo and messed with it some, alpine has a phone app to let you tune your stereo, it's pretty neat.
HVAC is all wired up, I've got power to the clutch and 4 blower speeds up front. Haven't figured out what I'm missing on the rear blower yet. Seems like I'm missing a relay or module of some kind. I've got three wires with different connectors on them related to the rear blower and nothing to plug them all into. I still need to have some a/c hoses modified before we can flush/charge the system.
Yesterday we took our oldest dog to the vet. Her energy level has dropped significantly and just recently she began losing control of her bladder. They x-rayed her and found a cantaloupe sized mass growing on a kidney. Today she had surgery to remove it, she's doing fine right now but the next few days are pretty crucial for her recovery. We probably won't have her home til Friday.

I finally got out into the garage for a little while today. This weekend's goal is to get the dash back into the Suburban and mounting the stereo, I wanna drive my damn truck!
The goal is to put the Autometer gauges into the OEM bezel.
I was a little nervous about cutting into the bezel but I took my time on the first one. It took me about 45min to finally get the first one right. The second took about 10min haha!
Here's how much comes off the backside, electrical tape for size reference.

Looking good. I'm right there with you on new gauges and I say 160 mph is doable.

Good, she's home. Eating/drinking like usual and seems to be getting around better than before her surgery. It's nice to have her home, it's crazy how one less dog can make a house feel empty.
Yeah, that could stop at 100mph for all I care. I'll never use more than half of that speedometer.
Now I'm going to have to dig out my gauges that are buried in a box somewhere in the container. That is t it's right there
The only downside is that they kinda point down when installed in the truck. I might try making some angle rings for them to kick them back up some.
