Nice. What upper hose are you going to put on?
Lol, for a second I forgot about the swap! Too many drinks this weekend...@nutt7 the same one I've always used, I didn't change the radiator.
The fan mounts are done. I added some rubber skirting to the sides on the fan to close up the gaps, wired up a connector and bolted everything together this morning. As soon as it cools off a little ill go drop the radiator into the suburban.

I found something that I didn't like while testing the fans. My blower relay is getting super hot! The connector started melting, I touched it and a big chunk of it stuck to my hand. I wonder if my blower motor is drawing a ton of amperage and heating it up. Or maybe the relay is junk. Either way I think I'll order a new blower motor and relay, they can't be too expensive.
That supports my intake tubing, MAF and filter. I want to re route the intake if I can, it's a tight fit between the engine and the new fans. I also don't like the intake blocking the back of the fans like it does. Makes for hot intake air and decreased air flow. What's that U shaped deal infront of the engine on the driver side? That for your nitrous bottle... lol
Clean install. I am pretty sure those fans might have been pulling the truck slowly forward.Damn, that was quick.

Keep the towel in place for safety.

Hahahaha, that's effing GOLD!!!Haha! That reminds me of my uncle John, he's known to yell "let the clutch out, the fan ain't gonna pull it!" out the window in traffic.
My ECM controls them and they run constant when the AC is on. There are two different temps you can kick them on at. I'm actually going to set one to come on sooner than the other. My harness has two fan wires, "fan high" and "fan low". Low kicks on at 202* and off at 195*. High kicks on at 210* and off at 202*. I'm going to connect the smaller fan to the low temp wire and leave the big one on the high wire.Nice install Scott.
I love my windstar fans.
How is the connector hooked up?
To a thermal switch?
I powered my primary fan up to ignition power and a manual switch for the secondary.
looks like you could have bent it with your teeth if you wanted to.....
